New structure for MC&A
Ariel: 8 September 2005
Tim Davie, director of marketing, communications & audiences, has unveiled his new senior management team.
Davie said the team will now focus on delivering the changes resulting from a BBC-wide Value For Money Review earlier this year.
These changes include new ways of working and creating new integrated marketing and communications roles at all levels, while losing 115 posts across the division.
The new structure streamlines the senior MC&A leadership team from more than 20 direct reports to eight business leaders, heading integrated teams covering marketing, communications and audience insights and research.
The eight teams are: communications, brand & planning, audiences, television, radio & music, new media and digital, journalism and 'out of london' (which will oversees activity in the nations and English regions).
They will be led by:
Communications : Sally Osman
Brand & Planning : Helen Kellie
Audiences : Chris Mundy
Television : Vanda Rumney
Radio & Music : Sue Lynas
Journalism : Janie Ironside-Wood
New Media & Digital : To be announced
Out of London : Jacky Brandreth
