Hello Europe, this is Bitesize calling!
The world’s biggest live music event, the Eurovision Song Contest, has around 160 million viewers tuning in each year. Now in its 70th year, the famous music competition started from humble beginnings, with just a handful of countries competing, and since has seen generations perform an array of music genres.
In 2026, the 70th edition of the show takes place in Vienna, Austria, following artist JJ's victory the year prior with the song Wasted Love. In the final, 26 countries will compete and we're bound to see more unforgettable acts take to the Eurovision stage.
