Note: An adult will need to supervise this craft! Please be careful with scissors.

  • Start by mixing water with PVA glue. Half water, double the glue is the perfect mix.

  • Paint the glue onto the jar and stick on some tissue paper.

  • Paint more glue over the tissue to lock it in. Then leave it to dry.

  • Cut out some more tissue paper shapes to create a lovely design.

  • Stick your shapes onto the jar with your paintbrush and glue.

  • Time to add the finishing touches - use cut out black paper to make a silhouette on the jar. They'll really stand out when the light is on inside.

  • Get an electric tea light candle and pop it inside the jar... there you have it: a lovely memory jar.
