Accessing BBC tools, systems and services

Once you have a commission from BBC Radio you may need access to BBC tools, systems or staff. This will be arranged via the business.

You will need:

• A current commission to supply a programme, without that you cannot have access to any BBC systems except to submit a proposal
• To be set-up by the network business team

Proteus

You will need access to a Proteus Paperwork account, email Proteus.Support@bbc.co.uk to request a login. This will need to be authorised by the business contact at your company, if you don’t know who this is, Proteus Support can confirm this for you.

Training materials for users with Proteus Paperwork accounts are available on the BBC Academy.

iBroadcast and other tools

iBroadcast is used for multiplatform publishing. You can request access on the iBroadcast website.

You can find iBroadcast training guides on the BBC Academy website. To book a place on a face-to-face course please email Academy Enquiries  

The R&M Support site also has extensive guides to iBroadcast.

You will need a BBC desktop certificate to access iBroadcast, this is associated with your BBC login. If you need to use iBroadcast away from the BBC network then you must export your BBC certificate. If you need help with this please contact RadioMusic.Support@bbc.co.uk.

If you don't have a BBC Desktop account you will need your business contact to set up a BBC myDevelopment account before you can access training via the BBC Academy.

Your business contact can give you more information, as they will for any other tools or systems you need. Alternatively you can email RadioMusic.Support@bbc.co.uk for help with any BBC Radio tools.

iSite

If you are required to use iSite you can request training via the BBC Academy. The R&M Support site also has extensive guides to using iSite.
