Are you lot sniffing solvents? Solksjaer,Lupoli, Nugent, Rossi or Kabba !!! Get with the real world, we can only gamble on lower league bargains or foreign imports. Wanchope scored some great goals and gave entertainment but he needs good players around him and as much as i love them Idiakez and Smith are no Eranio and Baiano. As for Rasiak,with Mido off to African Nations i doubt Spurs will release him and if they do it will be old-boy Glen. I do ponder the wisdom of letting Tudgay go (an undisclosed fee also makes me think it was another giveaway)With the squad we have at the moment I think Brown needs to be more positive and stop getting uptight about protecting his back four, let them defend and let Inigo attack!!!

Im not too sure if he's fit or injured at the moment, but it would be worth bringing back an old Derby favourite from Boro - Malcolm Christe. Also try to see if Rasiak is available as Totenham aren't using him. Wanchope would be good back in a Derby shirt and I like the idea of players from the States.

A psychiatrist would be a good start to work with Andy Davies! If we get some cash (NOT Ricketts!!!) for Smith then a lower league forward or two, maybe also offer something short term to Matt Jansen who's available now. Christie would be a bonus. I watch a lot of Major League Soccer from the States on the net and though I'd say the general standard is about top half Colaship, there's a bigger variation between the best and worst, meaning there are some really good players in the league. Add into the equation MLS has a team salary cap and you'll see players wages may not be the issue that they are over here, the only slight fly in the ointment is work permits. I'd suggest we look at Parkhurst, Joseph, Dempsey and Twellman from New England; DeRosario formerly of San Jose; Gomez and Albright of LA and Boswell of DC United just for starters. I'm sure John Harkes and Simo Valakari who are both over there at present would be more than happy to advise Derby about these players.
