Looking after your car BEFORE it goes wrong - hopefully to PREVENT it going wrong - is still a mystery to many people. And, with increasing numbers of ladies living alone, it's important to know how to carry out the simple under-the-bonnet checks that can prevent breakdowns, save money, and even help reduce the risk of accidents. The BBC Hereford & Worcester Action Desk has enlisted the help of the RAC to offer free Car Maintenance Workshops, and leading tyre and exhaust suppliers ETB are providing space at their Worcester centre. Trained RAC patrol people will show how to carry out a weekly 10-minute check that may well spot trouble before it starts, and will certainly be good for your car's health and your peace of mind. Don't be nervous - we're not out to show you how to strip down the engine or change the clutch! The workshop sessions are aimed at ladies, but men would be welcome to attend too. The Workshops take place at the ETB tyre and exhaust centre in Hylton Rd, Worcester on Saturday 6th December from 10am.
