 | On average only 10 out of the 125 people taking the selection procedure will pass. | | | | The first three weeks of selection is held in the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. | | | | One of the toughest tests is the notorious Long Drag. | | | | Soldiers have to complete a 40 mile course carrying a 55lb back. | | | | To pass the course they have to complete the 40 miles in between 20 and 24 hours. | | | | After completing this section the survivors are moved on to the jungle phase. | | | | The final phase of selection is Escape and Evasion and TQ( or Tactical Questioning). | | | | The soldiers are on the run usually for about 3 days. | | | | If you pass all sections then you can join the SAS, and the real work begins. |
