Live events

This year, the BBC will show 54 live matches from the FIFA World Cup on BBC One and BBC Two. These can be streamed in Ultra HD on BBC iPlayer on supported TVs. Look for the live streams on the Channels menu or the FIFA World Cup menu and select to watch in UHD.

After the games, the highlights will also be available on demand in Ultra HD.

Previous UHD live events have included the 2026 FA Cup Final, as well as Wimbledon Centre Court matches and Pyramid Stage performances at Glastonbury. We also brought live coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics opening and closing ceremonies, the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort, and live action from the FIFA World Cup 2022 in stunning Ultra HD.
