This section of the site offers tutors ideas on how to use the resources on the site to develop their students' Key Skills by doing activities that are based on real life scenarios.
The activities in the Apprentices section are aimed primarily at providing practise and portfolio evidence for NVQ Level 3 in Care and Key Skills Level 2 in Communication and Application of Number. However, the Flash activities can be used with students at other levels if combined with appropriate teaching and instruction.
The articles contained in the Health and Social Care Tutors section will provide you with details of the activities available for students and also ideas of further activities to use with your students, which will allow them to build up evidence for their portfolios.
The Tutors section also provides a comprehensive list of NVQ criteria that could be covered using the interactive activities on the site combined with the further activities suggested.
There are also details of and links to the Skillswise website, which offers subject specific resources aimed at covering elements of the Level 1 Basik Skills Literacy and Numberacy curricula.
You'll find all the details of the core Flash activities in the Apprentices section - Flash Activities and Guidance Notes.
