Call You & Yours: Have you ever spent money you know you don't have, on stuff you don't really need?

Today on our weekly phone in Call You and Yours and we want to talk about disordered spending of the kind Nicola Sturgeon's husband did. It's on the rise. There are re-rehab clinics reporting growing numbers seeking help.

You might have never have bought luxury pens or cars or coffee machines but have you ever spent money you know you don't have on stuff you don't really need? If you've seen that in yourself and managed to stop, how did you do that?

It can happen for all sorts of reasons, and be spending on anything from second hand clothing, luxury goods, food - and be low cost or high end.

We'll be joined by Ian Hamilton. He is Professor of Addiction at the University of York. He's also a registered nurse. He's worked in the health service with patients with addictions.

He'll help to explain the different kinds of disordered spending and the different drivers involved.

We'll also hear from Sharon Bull who accumulated £50,000 of debt from her addiction to shopping. She now runs an organisation, Compassionate Voices CIC. helping women and girls managing these types of issues.

We want to hear from you. What drove you to do it and if you've ever caught yourself repeatedly spending too much how did you stop doing it?
