Uzbekistan v Colombia

Uzbekistan were one of the first teams to secure their World Cup finals place a year ago, and they meet Colombia in their opening game in Group K in Mexico City.

It’s a first ever World Cup appearance for Uzbekistan, who are managed by Italian former World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro. Colombia were Copa America runners-up in 2024 and beat both Argentina and Brazil in qualifying for this tournament. The class and flair of Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz means they could be a team to watch this summer.
