BBC Concert Orchestra perform Malcolm Arnold's ballet Sweeney Todd

Linton Stephens introduces an afternoon of specially made recordings including musical highlights from the BBC Concert Orchestra, LSO St Luke's and Ensemble Molière.

Linton Stephens presents an afternoon of exceptional music-making with highlights from the BBC Concerto Orchestra. Opening the programme is The Walk to the Paradise Garden by Frederick Delius, a luminous orchestral interlude from A Village Romeo and Juliet. This is followed by Malcolm Arnold's darkly comic, vivid, and energetic ballet, Sweeney Todd.
From LSO St Luke’s, pianist Simon Crawford-Phillips is joined by soprano Sophie Bevan and violinist Malin Broman continuing his profile week there with friends. And also specially recorded items from the National Centre for Early Music and BBC R3 New Generation Baroque Ensemble - Ensemble Augelletti
