Faith across the generations
Claire McCollum visits a care village in Chester, which incorporates a nursery, to explore the joys of connecting across generations and to see how faith plays a key part for many.
Claire McCollum explores how connecting the generations can help our faith flourish and bring energy, joy and love to our lives.
Claire visits a remarkable care village in Chester, which has a nursery in the same building, to learn from general manager Caroline Ray how intergenerational living enriches the lives of the very young and old.
Claire joins 83-year-old resident Eleanor’s daily exercise routine with the nursery children and hears how it has given Eleanor a new lease of life after the death of her husband. Claire then lends her voice to the care village’s choir, run by Christian Amanda Wrigley, who is inspired by the love and joy she finds in Jesus.
In a studio in Stockport, we meet Linda Lamon and Niall Brett who have formed a flourishing musical partnership despite a 50-year age gap.
