Summery tracks from the Redditch act who's got Sir Paul McCartney's seal of approval. Plus the Northwich DJ who's been appearing at Tomorrowland. With Phillip Stoneman.

Warning: This show may contain future headliners! Phillip Stoneman introduces the best new music from our area, including:

• It's had the banks of the River Teme bounce with music for the past fortnight - everyone from Snow Patrol to Heather Small, Richard Ashcroft and Scissor Sisters has taken to the battlements of Ludlow Castle. And we're set for another seven more years of music soundtracking our summers!

• BBC Introducing was there en masse with Ludlow's own Versaints, plus Ross-on-Wye's Pentire opening the main stages, which you'll hear in the next few weeks. The latter supported 80s legend Rick Astley, who's in conversation.

• In our Festival Guide: All you need to know as we gear up for a mega weekend, including Lakefest at Eastnor Castle near Ledbury, Bloodstock in Staffordshire, Wychfest in Droitwich and Down On The Farm in the Golden Valley.

• He's the Northwich producer who fell in love with trance music when training to be in the police. Mark Roma is on having self-taught his way to a second gig at the centre of the dance music universe, rubbing shoulders with the biggest names in the game.

• In the Music News: Reaction from our area as the Government announces a cut in VAT for music venues, a Herefordshire farmer is singing his way in to the hearts of the nation and it's the end of an era for a stalwart of the Redditch scene.

• We're checking out our area's newest music venue, bringing a whole new definition to the phrase rock-kiln-roll. Discover how Potbank at Spode Works is putting musicians centre stage.

• She's the Redditch act with the seal of approval from none other than Paul McCartney. Enjoy a live acoustic performance from the Three Counties Showground in Malvern courtesy of Millie Ady, fresh from being invited to a songwriting session with one of music's all-time great lyricists.
