Three Hours of Classical Sparkle

Sarah Walker, live from Bristol, with for a Sunday mix inspired by the music and musicians featured at this year's Bristol Proms.

Sarah Walker, live from Bristol, with a Sunday mix peppered with the music and musicians featured at this year's Bristol Proms.

This week’s Choral Reflection features the music of a little known Bristolian composer - William Child, and there's music from a new release by pianist Cecile Licad.

There's also youthful romance in music by Shostakovich, a heartfelt Handelian aria, and a chance to hear a stunning recording of Walton's Violin Concerto by violinist Akiko Suwanai, with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and conductor Sakari Oramo in full.

Also, Sarah takes inspiration from another festival happening in Bristol for her Sunday Sequence....

A Tandem Production for BBC Radio 3.
