Peace Direct

Peace Direct is an international charity dedicated to stopping violent conflict around the world. We do this by supporting local peacebuilders to resolve conflict and create lasting peace for their communities.

The impact of violence on local communities

The impact of violence on local communities

In Nigeria, Peace Direct supports LEGASI, a local organisation that helps people who have lost loved ones to violence. People like Catherine, whose husband and daughter were killed on the same day during an outbreak of violence against Christians.

Local people resolving conflict

With Peace Direct and LEGASI’s support, Catherine joined forces with Marwanatu, one of her Muslim neighbours, to promote peace in their village. Together, they facilitate dialogue and mediate disputes between Christians and Muslims in the community.

Building bridges across divides

Building bridges across divides
Catherine and Marwanatu are now leaders in their community. Their friendship and partnership serve as a powerful example of peaceful coexistence. Your donation would help support peaceful solutions to violence around the world today.
