The Power of Walking

Pam Rhodes is in Essex to explore how the simple act of walking can have a profound purpose – from fostering friendship to expressing faith.

Pam Rhodes is in Essex to explore how the simple act of walking can have a profound purpose.

In Chelmsford, Pam meets Ron Hedley, whose faith and personal experience have inspired him to organise more than 40 walks for a cause close to his heart. Pam joins Ron’s March for Prostate Cancer, an initiative to raise awareness of the disease and encourage men to get tested.

In the Peak District, we meet Faye Smith, a pilgrim guide and founder of Hope Walking. She shares how walking became a source of healing after experiencing tragedy and heartache.

Pam also meets pastor Phil Tate, whose walks always attract attention as he travels around towns and cities carrying a 12-foot cross. He tells Pam how he uses walking as a way to pray for the community and how the cross invites conversations about faith.

With hymns and music celebrating the peace and joy of walking with God:
