Julius Asal plays a selection of Rachmaninov Preludes at the Ryedale Festival.
Georgia Mann introduces specially-recorded performances from some of Radio 3's current New Generation Artists. Today, German pianist, Julius Asal - the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Associate Artist - plays Rachmaninov in a concert recorded at the Church of St Peter and Saint Paul, Pickering, Yorkshire as part of the 2025 Ryedale Festival.

For over a quarter of a century, Radio 3’s prestigious talent scheme has provided an invaluable springboard for many of today’s leading international soloists and chamber music ensembles.
