The Welsh Government are set to meet with Jonathan 'Jiffy' Davies and GoCompare boss Hayley Parsons about the future of the WRU.
Both Davies and Parsons have recently called on the WRU board to step down.
Parsons wrote to the First Minister, Rhun ap Iorwerth, asking to discuss "what practical role the Welsh Government could play in restoring trust, accountability and unity to Welsh rugby". Meanwhile, the Welsh Rugby Union have described the move as "wholly unhelpful to the long term health and success of the game in Wales."
They have also written to the Welsh Government in response.

Figures from the Home Office have shown that a burglary goes unsolved every three minutes in England and Wales.
And in 72% of cases, the police fail to identify a suspect.
The Home Office say "burglary is a horrible crime that can leave victims feeling unsafe in their own homes", but say their police reforms will allow forces to focus more on neighbourhood crimes like burglary.

Research from Three Mobile showed that at 27, people have found their feet, have peak physical fitness - but don't have many responsibilities.
69% of older respondents, meanwhile, wished they had room for greater spontaneity in their life.
