Soweto Kinch returns with another week of the best in jazz, and he welcomes Australian multi-instrumentalist Audrey Powne as his 4/4 guest from Monday to Thursday.

This week, Soweto Kinch is joined by Australian trumpeter, vocalist, composer and producer Audrey Powne. Born in Melbourne but now based in London, her work draws on jazz, soul, hip-hop and improvisation, bringing together virtuosic trumpet playing, distinctive songwriting and a deeply personal approach to composition and production.

From Monday to Thursday, Audrey is selecting four of the albums that have helped to shape her musical journey so far for 4/4. To begin her week, Audrey chooses an album by a pioneering two-time Grammy award-winning trumpeter.

Also in the programme there is music from PYJÆN, Kosmonauci and Hana Amaya.

‘Round Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.
