Made of Nottingham
Jake Bugg joins Emily Pilbeam to celebrate the music and culture of Nottingham. Plus, Emily visits The Bodega to hear about the best gigs played there.
Nottingham is home to a wide range of artists from Sleaford Mods to Tindersticks to London Grammar. One of Nottingham's finest is singer-songwriter Jake Bugg, who joins Emily Pilbeam to celebrate the city's music scene and cultural output.
Emily also meets Will and Sam from The Bodega. The Bodega is one of the most well-loved grassroots venues in the city. It started in 1999 with a gig by Shack supported by Turin Brakes and recently won awards from Music Week and The Live Awards. Live music is alive and well in Nottingham and new bands coming up out of the city like Do Nothing and Divorce are proof of Nottingham's musical influence.
With music from Jake Bugg, Sleaford Mods, Kings of Leon, London Grammar, Stereo MCs, Girlband!, Tindersticks, Florence + the Machine and many more.
