Short-Eared Owls

Naturalist Chris Sperring tries to get close to some of Britain's native wildlife as it goes about its business.

Combining his in-depth knowledge of the behaviour and senses of the animals, following with his sensitive tracking skills, Chris is able to be part of these animals' activities without them even knowing he is there.

Now he travels across the water to the small Welsh island of Skomer, famed for its seabird colonies, on the trail of Short-Eared Owls.
