Three trailblazers of 1950s and 60s British jazz

This week, ‘Round Midnight joins in on the BBC’s The Music Is Black season, in collaboration with the V&A East in London.

Tonight, Soweto reflects on three trailblazing black musicians who pushed the frontiers of jazz music particularly during the 1950s and 60s.

‘Round Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.
