Episode 6
The last of six heats. Josh Jones hosts as Kwami Odoom, Stanley Magill, Harry Jenkins, Alasdair Wallace and Alana Jackson compete for the final place in the grand final.
The BBC’s comedy talent search is back. More than a thousand comics applied, and just 30 made it through to the heats. This is the last of six, and five more acts are competing for the last place in this year’s grand final. The Box at Fargo Village, Coventry, will once again be converted into the BBC’s own New Comedy Club.
Mancunian ray of sunshine Josh Jones is our host for the night. Joining him are the three judges – star of Ghosts and Taskmaster Kiell Smith-Bynoe, former NCA winner Dan Tiernan, and head judge, the multi-talented award-winning actor and comedian Amy Gledhill.
Kwami Odoom, Stanley Magill, Harry Jenkins, Alasdair Wallace and Alana Jackson will each perform their set before the judges decide who will go through to the grand final.
Since the awards launched in 1995, past finalists and winners have included Peter Kay, Joe Lycett, Lee Mack, Julian Barratt, Josie Long, Shappi Khorsandi, Romesh Ranganathan, Alan Carr, Russell Howard, Lee Ridley, Tom Allen, Lauren Pattison and Sarah Millican.
