The Bloody Rhino Horn Trade
Sue Lloyd-Roberts reports from Vietnam where, although the trade in rhino horn is illegal, there's a thriving market.
Over a thousand rhinos were killed by poachers in South Africa last year, a forty per cent increase on the previous year. Experts fear the future of the rhino is threatened by the growing appetite for its horn among the growing middle class in Asia. Sue Lloyd-Roberts reports from Vietnam where, although the trade in rhino horn is illegal, there's a thriving market. She discovers how easy it is to buy and asks why people still believe in its potency.
