School dinners: Extra 1.3m pupils signed up for school dinners
Liberal Democrat MP David Laws says the uptake for school meals has been the largest for 70 years.
"This is an extraordinary increase...an extra 1.3 million pupils have signed up compared to last term".
Asked about whether enough schools were claiming the money allocated to support free school meals 'In the medium term we are removing the stigma attached to signing up for free school meals, removing bureaucracy and introducing a data-sharing arrangement".
