Sir Malcolm Bruce: We are confident we can win seats

"Increasingly people are beginning to realise we do not want another referendum and you cannot vote for the SNP unless that’s what you want" said Sir Malcolm Bruce of the Liberal Democrats in Scotland.

On Trident: "Whilst we want to see multi-lateral disarmament… we would need fewer warheads.

"We have researched the idea of having fewer submarines and fewer warheads and not having 24-hour distribution. That to us is a more affordable way of downgrading but not eliminating our deterrant effect".
