It was 20 years ago this month that IBM's computer Deep Blue defeated the world chess champion Garry Kasparov. It was a watershed moment in the history of technology.

In his new book, Deep Thinking: Where machine intelligence ends and human creativity begins, Garry Kasparov has written his side of the story for the first time. He explained to Sarah Montague the significance of losing to artificial intelligence.
