Ukrainian filmmaker explores morality of the mass bombing of civilians
Sergei Loznitsa's new documentary, The Natural History of Destruction, explores whether or not it is ever morally acceptable to target civilian populations during a time of war. While using footage from more than 80 years ago, it is a film with distressing currency – arriving at a time of ongoing accusations that Russia has continued to strike civilian targets in Ukraine.
