Paloma Faith on motherhood: ‘We’re not alone… and we’re not failures’
From haemorrhoids to childbirth and IVF, award-winning singer Paloma Faith has set out to bust motherhood taboos in her new book.
She joined Clare McDonnell on BBC Radio 4's Woman’s Hour and explained why she wants to speak up about the realities of motherhood, even the parts that aren’t pretty.
Paloma said that she found it very isolating going through these experiences herself, but realised that speaking about it with other women helped her feel less alone.
Plus she shared a reminder for other mums: That you’re not a failure if you’re not perfect - ‘your best is good enough’.
You can listen to the full interview on BBC Sounds – it’s the Woman’s Hour episode from 12 June.
