Town of Culture: The bids are in

The bids are in. Oakham, Melton, Ashby, Loughborough, Coalville, Hinckley and Market Harborough have submitted their bids for ‘UK Town of Culture’.

Shortlisted towns will get £60,000 to build on their application, before the winner is crowned next year and given £3 million to transform their town. The runners up will get £250,000.
