Why was a village church chosen for the BBC’s first outside broadcast from Cambridgeshire?

In April 1926, what is believed to be the BBC’s first outside broadcast from Cambridgeshire was aired.

But rather than coming from somewhere like King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, the 15-minute programme featured a concert from a church in the village of Doddington.
