Actor Rebecca Front: 'I last went on a tube train in 1986’
The award winning actress, writer and comedian spoke to Robert in 2018.
Born in 1964, Rebecca Front was brought up in Gants Hill where her parents wrote and illustrated childrens books. She studied English at Oxford University where she was the first female president of the Oxford Revue.
She started her career in radio and then television alongside her friends Chris Morris, Armando annucci, Doon Mackichan and Steve Coogan, becoming well known for her comic roles.
Best known for hit series like ‘Knowing me Knowing you with Alan Partridge’, ‘Nighty Night’, and ‘Lewis’ , she won a BAFTA for her performance as Nicola Murray MP in the political satire ‘The Thick of It’.
