She Who Remains is a novel by Rene Karabash and is translated by Izidora Angel. It's one of the six books nominated for the 2026 International Booker Prize. A young Albanian woman takes a vow to become a "sworn virgin" to avoid a forced marriage, setting off a chain of events ending in tragedy.
