The World At One celebrates 60 years
Presenters past and present chat about the long-running lunchtime news programme.
As part of the World at One at 60 celebrations in 2025, we gathered together current and past presenters, Edward Stourton, Martha Kearney, James Naughtie, Mark Mardell and Sarah Montague for lunch at a café around the corner from the Broadcasting House to discuss the programme, broadcasting and the world have changed, as well as reliving some of their most memorable moments on - and off - air.
Sadly, Edward Stourton, much loved presenter of The World at One, passed away in July 2026.
