Nigeria’s New Education Reform

The Nigerian government is proposing a new 12-year uninterrupted basic education model aimed at reducing school dropouts and improving retention.

This comes as the country continues to grapple with an estimated 18.3 million out-of-school children, driven by poverty, insecurity, child labour, early marriage and other variables.
