Eltayeb Bashar has given his time and energy to the faithful city for years, helping to organise Worcester's first Black History Month and a first Windrush Day celebration.
He was also the first person from Worcester to be awarded the HART Prize for Human Rights in a prestigious essay-writing competition.
Eltayeb is a finalist in the BBC Hereford & Worcester Make A Difference Awards 2026 in the Volunteer category.
