Chris Richens struggled with mental health, now helps others combat issues with fitness.
Chris Richens struggled with his mental health, but through fitness he now helps others to combat their issues.
After battling depression, suicidal thoughts and financial pressures as a young father, Chris Richens found strength and stability through fitness.
What began as a personal journey of recovery has grown into Give Yourself 30, a movement encouraging people to spend just 30 minutes a day being active for the benefit of their physical and mental wellbeing.
Through run clubs, walking groups and open conversations about mental health, Chris is helping others to take positive steps in their own lives.
He speaks to BBC Radio Bristol's Adam Crowther.
