Nelly helps children with their reading

Nelly from Netley Abbey takes part in the Read2Dogs scheme with her owner Mary and has been visiting children in schools and helping them learn to read for the last 3 years.

Nelly won the Animal Award in the BBC Radio Solent Make a Difference Awards for 2026.
