'The people’s naturalist’

Naturalist Ted Ellis spent his life telling people about the wonders of Norfolk wildlife.

Ted Ellis was a naturalist who spent his days telling people about the wonders of Norfolk.

He was a museum curator and broadcaster with a passion for nature and wildlife.

He lived on Wheatfen Broad just outside of Norwich, and today, the reserve is open for all to visit, slow down and take in the natural world - maybe even see a Swallowtail or two!

Immy Lee went to find out more and take a walk around with the warden, Lewis Yates.
