Telford named best place to live for families

A new survey - which analysed the availability of outdoor play spaces - shows Telford as the best in the UK.

It looked at locations across the UK, based on the availability of outdoor play spaces, alongside factors including safety, pollution and accessibility.

It shows Telford has an average of more than six parks or playing fields within a kilometre of a home.

"It reflects what I recognise as someone who's lived here, and grown up here", Councillor Lee Carter told BBC Radio Shropshire's Paul Shuttleworth.
