Ivory Coast’s ruling RHDP has won the legislative elections held at the weekend, provisional results show. The party now awaits official confirmation by the country’s electoral commission.

The death toll from a blast at Equatorial Guinea military barracks has risen to 98. The incident in the coastal city of Bata also left hundreds other people injured.
