The ICC upholds the acquittal of Laurent Gbagbo
Laurent Gbagbo has been acquitted by the ICC in The Hague.
The International Criminal Court has upheld the acquittal of the former president of Ivory Coast, Laurent Gbagbo, on charges of human rights abuses and crimes against humanity. The judge described the evidence against him as 'exceptionally weak'.
Also, Mozambican troops are carrying out what they're calling a 'cleansing up operation', after militants killed dozens of people last week in Palma in the Cabo Delgado province.
