Can Egypt mediate between Israel and the Palestinians?

Egypt's government has sent mediators to Tel Aviv, and has been pushing both Israel and Hamas to declare a ceasefire. Egypt is the only state other than Israel to share a border with the Gaza Strip.

A former member of Kenya's Building Bridges Initiative task force says the proposed constitutional changes are not dead, despite High Court ruling that the Constitution Amendment Bill was flawed and illegal.
