Ethiopian prime minister Abiy Ahmed has accused the Tigray People’s Liberation Front of fighting along aid corridors in the war-torn region of Tigray.
Ethiopian prime minister Abiy Ahmed has accused the Tigray People’s Liberation Front of fighting along aid corridors in the war-torn region of Tigray, and promised to repel attacks by what he called ‘internal and external enemies’. There are fears that continued violence in Tigray will prevent aid reaching hundreds of thousands of people on the brink of famine.
Plus, the latest on the unrest which has led to 70 deaths in South Africa. Long queues have formed at shops and petrol stations in Durban, with several days of looting leading to shortages of basic goods.
