Two South African cabinet ministers and a deputy were rescued by an elite task force after they were held hostage by disgruntled war veterans.
Two South African cabinet ministers, who with a deputy, were briefly held hostage by war veterans after a meeting on reparations collapsed, have played the incident. The ministers, Thandi Modise, Mondli Gungubele, said although they were being held against their will, their lives were not in danger.
