Pakistani mediators arrive in Tehran
They aim to shore up the ceasefire between the Iran and the US before it expires.
The White House says talks on extending the ceasefire between the United States and Iran are “productive” and continuing just hours after Pakistani mediators arrived in Tehran. The current two-week truce is due to expire next Wednesday. We report from Iran.
Meanwhile talks between Israel and Lebanon take place today. The goal is to reach a ceasefire between Israel and the Iran backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. We discuss the volatile situation on the ground with the United Nations peacekeepers in Lebanon.
And we head to Cameroon where Pope Leo has been greeted by the faithful in churches and community events.
