King Charles at White House for state visit

The British King and Queen are meeting President Trump before a speech to Congress.

The King and Queen Camilla are due to attend a White House ceremony on the second day of their US state visit. Later, Charles will have a bilateral meeting with President Trump before he gives an historic address to US lawmakers. He's expected to use the speech to call for "reconciliation and renewal" between the US and UK amid strained relations over the Iran war. We speak to reporters at the White House and US fans who are attending.

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has defended a joke in which he called Melania Trump an "expectant widow" just days before a shooting incident at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. We speak to comedians and comedy writers to hear their thoughts.

There's been more anti-immigration protests in South Africa. Last week video clips were shared online showing vigilante groups attacking and confronting people they believed were in South Africa illegally. Xenophobia has long been an issue in the country and has been accompanied by occasional outbursts of deadly violence.
