US says military and cargo ships transit Strait of Hormuz
Iran says it stopped a US destroyer from entering the Strait of Hormuz.
The US military says American warships have passed through the strait of Hormuz as part of an operation to restore freedom of navigation. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has called the US claim about ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz “outright lies". We speak to our correspondents from BBC Persian and from our Washington bureau. We also speak to representatives from seafarers' unions.
