Two award winning, veteran BBC music presenters make a welcome return to the airwaves with a brand new series for music fans of all eras and styles! Over many decades Mike Edgar and Donna Legge have witnessed hundreds of performances in person or via radio and TV broadcasts - and on this new series they plan to relive their favourite moments. No Genres will be exempt – pop, rock, jazz, folk, soul, punk, classical and blues are all in the mix. There’s also plenty of adventure across the eras – with tracks recorded as far back as the early 1960s alongside memorable live music moments from the last few months. During this edition - listen out for Tony Bennett onstage at The Ulster Hall, a rare BBC recording of The Waterboys at Glasto ’86, a standout moment from that legendary 1994 Oasis gig at The Limelight in Belfast, a reminder of the majesty of Snow Patrol’s ‘Ward Park 3’ show in 2019 and the incredible Duke Special performing with The Ulster Orchestra as his backing band! We also hear from Tim Wheeler – who surprises us with the name of the band playing the first gig he went to and how they went on to inspire Tim and his Ash bandmate Mark Hamilton.
